Trekking
You can book take part in an amazing adventure while raising funds to help people affected by hearing problems. All you have to do is pay a registration fee and raise a minimum sponsorship. You will get transport, accommodation, food, any training you might need and of course and lots of fundraising ideas.

Great Wall of China Trek

- Duration: 11 days
Stretching 6000km in a dotted line across China, the Great Wall was begun in the 5th Century BC. As it snakes across the mountains it conjures up a sense of history which is difficult to grasp until you have had the opportunity to experience it.
The trek is very varied, passing through woodland and terraced farmland following the contours of the beautiful hills and mountains in remote areas north of Beijing. You will follow old sections of the Great Wall, as well as restored sections with smooth flagstones and lots of steps!
This challenge is physically demanding and offers fabulous scenery and a fascinating insight into a rich culture and history.

Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu

Grade: Tough
From high remote mountain trails to the first sight of Machu Picchu, the legendary Lost City of the Incas, this is a challenging trek on steep trails climbing to 4200m in fantastic and diverse mountainous country.

There is plenty of time built in to acclimatise to the altitude - enjoy exploring ancient Cusco, capital of the Inca Empire, and the surrounding Sacred Valley. The trek then takes you through lush cloud forest, green valleys and high passes with breathtaking views of snow-capped Andean peaks, with time to stop and explore fascinating Inca temples and settlements along the way.

Ben Nevis Weekend Trek

The Scottish Highlands are full of enchantment with the ancient past all around. You will be overwhelmed by the increasing remoteness and the unspoilt environment as you leave the lowlands.

Ben Nevis (Gaelic translation ‘Mountain of Heaven’) itself is the highest point in the British Isles and stands at the lofty height of 1343m above sea level (about 4000ft). Fort William, on the southern edge of the Great Glen, is the nearest town and is located on a sea loch.
The challenge takes you into the heart of the Nevis Range, a breathtaking mountainous land; your goal is to reach the summit of Ben Nevis.

Hadrian’s Wall Weekend

Hadrian’s Wall originally ran from coast to coast and spanned 72 miles. Today they are left with only sections of this famous landmark, which cuts though the beautiful Northumberland National Park.
Starting at Lanercost Priory, you will trek for 25 miles alongside the only remaining sections of the wall, admiring ancient monuments, beautiful scenery and the skill of the Roman engineers who built this famous landmark, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This may only be a short challenge, but it's still tough and offers all the rewards of achievement! You may like to sign up on this as a training weekend for a longer overseas challenge, use it as a reunion with your friends from previous trips, or simply make the most of being able to take part in a beautiful trek for our cause without having to take lots of time off work!

Mount Kilimanjaro Trek
- Date: 21st September 2012, with other dates available throughout the year
- £499.00 + £3950.00 sponsorship
- Duration: 10 days
The highest freestanding mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro is also the highest mountain on the African continent at 5896m. Its snow-capped summit rises high above the dusty plains and huge permanent glaciers flow down from the summit; these views are the reward for pushing your limits both physically and mentally.

The trek takes the less-trodden Machame route, allowing you to camp and fully appreciate the splendour of the surroundings and the clear night skies. You will pass through thick forest, moorland and scree enroute to the highest point, Uhuru Peak.
This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive and well-known mountains in the world.
