Fundraise
Coffee mornings, car boot sales, open gardens, bike rides, sponsored walks, parachute jumps, dress down days, school parties, spelling competitions, singathons, sponsored silences, raffles and prize draws, poetry readings, collections, concerts, quizzes...
All of these and more are just some of the ways that members of the public could raise money for Deafness Research UK - why not hold an event yourself, or ask at your children's or grandchildren's school, workplaces, pubs, clubs, restaurants, bars or anywhere else you can think of.
If you would like to raise funds to support research into deafness and other hearing conditions, and have a great time in the process then please consider holding an event in support of Deafness Research UK.
Let us know and we can give you all the advice and support you'll need including leaflets and other promotional materials, and even some legal regulations which might apply - all to help to make your event a real success.
Deafness Research UK relies entirely on voluntary donations to fund its research. Without our supporters we could not have helped bring digital hearing aids to the general public, improved cochlear implants or developed the Newborn Baby Hearing Test which is now used across the world to identify deaf babies at birth.
We need your help if we are to continue our vital work, such as finding the genes that cause age-related hearing loss, improving treatment for people with deafnblindness and regenerating hearing cells.
You may already know what you'd like to do, but in case you don't, we've got lots of ideas to help get your fundraising started, just take a look at our A to Z of fundraising ideas.
If you have an idea you'd like to discuss or if you'd like some promotional materials then please call Sue Bowcock on 020 7833 1733 or email sue.bowcock@deafnessresearch.org.uk
