Donate through your payroll
Payroll giving is a convenient and tax-effective way of giving regularly to charities.
It is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help us budget and plan ahead more effectively.
Under this scheme you can make regular donations to Deafness Research UK directly from your salary or wages which will ensure that hearing research continues to benefit deaf and hearing impaired people across the UK.
The donation is tax free, for example £5 per month through the scheme costs the basic rate tax payer £3.90 (the taxman pays the rest)! The extra bonus is, the government gives an extra 10% to the value of your donation, so Deafness Research UK would receive £5.50 every month!

Give as you Earn and the charity's change of name
If you make donations via a Give as you Earn scheme to Defeating Deafness, you do not need to make any changes just because the charity has changed its name.
The charity was originally set up in 1985 as The Hearing Research Trust and that remains its official name. Defeating Deafness and Deafness Research UK are working names. Our bank accounts are set up to accept donations in any of our names.
If you have a specific question please contact Lee Green on 020 7833 1733, or email , who will be happy to help.
