About this website

This website is wholly owned and produced by Deafness Research UK (The Hearing Research Trust), which is a registered charity (Registered in England No. 326915) established to encourage and support medical research to improve the quality of life for hearing impaired people.

The main purpose of this site is to provide information on deafness and related issues to the general public, and to raise awareness of the work of Deafness Research UK. There is also a specialist section that provides information about funding for scientific researchers.

Although Deafness Research UK occasionally works in partnership with third parties to raise awareness of hearing loss and the problems it brings, we are an independent and impartial medical research charity, and do not endorse any other organizations or companies, or their products or services. We do not accept advertising and do not take part in any link or banner exchange schemes .
