Recycle your printer cartridges
Collect your used printer cartridges and raise money for Deafness Research UK.
We have teamed up with The Recycling Appeal to offer you a scheme that will help boost our fundraising - every time you donate a cartridge, Deafness Research UK will receive a cash donation from the resale of refilled cartridges.
Not only will you be helping Deafness Research UK by setting up a collection, but you will also be doing your bit for environment. Every year 30 million printer cartridges are disposed of, which contributes to over 300,000 tonnes of largely non-biodegradable waste.
In the last 10 years it is estimated that printer cartridges worth around £500,000,000 were dumped in landfill sites. These could have been used to provide much-needed money for worthwhile causes such as Deafness Research UK!
The majority of cartridges sold in the UK are accepted for recycling, put please note that the following are not accepted: Epson inkjet cartridges, ribbon cartridges, toner bottles, broken cartridges, mobile phone cases, analogue phones, pagers or other electronic equipment.
